Floral Designs, Etc. began quite by accident. In 1993, Nancy's middle daughter Darla, was planning a June wedding. Naturally this is a time that mother and daughter work together to provide just that right ambiance to make it "perfect". The decision was made to have a small wedding in the garden of her grandmother's home. With all the lovely trees and abundant plants--both hanging and potted--Darla decided to use artificial flowers. The Texas heat can be quite unpredictable if not down-right hot for cut flowers. Besides, she wanted an additional lasting memory--her bouquet.
Mother & daughters all worked to create the look that Darla was wanting to achieve--from the bouquets, boutonnières, & corsages to the cake topper, toasting glasses & serving knife. Not to mention the guest book clipboard--a clear acrylic clipboard decorated with matching flowers which held the guest list sheet (later inserted in a sleeve in the wedding memory book). Years later a friend of the family asked Nancy to make his future bride's bouquet and all the trimmings. Then another asked the same thing which lead to a complete involvement of mother & daughters in preparing the floral decorations. Something was beginning to "click". Word of mouth has led to many weddings. So, why not offer the services to others who were planning their wedding. Whether it's a small semi-formal wedding or a large formal wedding, Floral Designs, Etc. is dedicated to providing a wonderful compliment to your tastes, ideas and color-scheme.
